This was another bRiLliant track

If the two songs from Kohinoor (1960) on this blog were arranged in the alphabetical order, as well as in the ascending order of their durations, Do Sitaron Ka Zameen Par would be the first – it was three minutes and 32 seconds long.

However, the do sitare in the song could very well refer to the duo who rendered it – Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi.

But the man who undoubtedly deserved the lion’s share of the credit for the popularity of the track was Shakeel Badayuni, who penned it.

It was composed by Naushad Ali.
