Sucu Sucu was a song penned by Tarateno Rojas (and a dance of the same
name). The Bolivian singer recorded it in 1959.
Ai Ai Aa Suku Suku was one of the many songs inspired by it – and, interestingly, the only Indian version.
If the four songs from Junglee (1961) were to be arranged in the alphabetical order, it would be the first.
It was, incidentally, the shortest track in the film – it was three minutes and 20 seconds long.
The track, which Shailendra penned, was composed by Shankar Jaikishan and rendered by Mohammed Rafi.
