Now that
India's voters are just a few days away from knowing the MPs who will represent
them in the seventeenth Lok Sabha, they would obviously be hoping that the
promises made to them are kept.
Or else,
they will have to sing, “Jo waada kiya
woh nibhana padega”, the evergreen song from Taj Mahal.
The track,
which was penned by the one and only Sahir Ludhianvi, was composed by Roshan.
It was
rendered by Lata Mangeshkar (who was nominated in the Best Playback Singer
category at the Filmfare Awards in 1964) and Mohammed Rafi.
