Undoubtedly, every Raficionado was impressed

Khuli Palak Mein Jhootha Gussa, from Professor, was penned by Shailendra.

It was the longer of his two contributions to the film’s soundtrack on this blog – it was three minutes and half-a-dozen seconds long.

This impressive track, which was composed by Shankar Jaikishan, was rendered by none other than Mohammed Rafi.

The success of Shammi Kapoor – who was, incidentally, nominated in the Best Actor category for the film at the Filmfare Awards in 1963 – was largely attributable to Rafi renditions. It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that this was among the pair's most underrated songs.
