Indeed, Rafi’s version was superLat(a)ive

Of the two versions of Ehsan Tera Hoga Mujh Par on the soundtrack of Junglee, this blog contains a post on just one – the male version, which was rendered by the one and only Mohammed Rafi.

It was three-and-a-half minutes long – just a couple of seconds longer than the female version, which was sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

The former was more popular than the latter.

Hasrat Jaipuri penned the track, whose first verse contained the titles of two films – Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein (1977) and Dil Chahta Hai (2001).

It was composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
