It was also one of the most underrated numbers in the discographies of both Majrooh Sultanpuri (who penned it) and Kishore Kumar (who didn’t just compose it, but rendered it too).
In fact, it had an ironic line that went, “Lambi si ek dagar hai zindagani” (which could be translated, “Life is a long road.”
Kumar’s life was a breezy lane, replete with numerous memories and countless melodies.
