This Mukesh gem was unforgettable

If the two tracks from Sanjog (1961) on this blog were to be arranged in the alphabetical order, Bhooli Hui Yaadon (an oxymoron, because it translates to, “Forgotten memories”) would be the first.

The song, which was penned by Rajinder Krishan, was composed by Madan Mohan.

It was rendered by none other than Mukesh.

The title of the film translates to coincidence, and while it was purely coincidental that both the songs from the film contained the word Bhooli and were sad songs, it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that neither of them was forgettable.
