Of the three Lata
Mangeshkar songs from Mughal-E-Azam
on this blog, one was sans a chorus.
And it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that that was striking, because Naushad Ali, who composed the track, employed a mammoth chorus for the remainder of the soundtrack.
Incidentally, the track in question – Mohabbat Ki Jhoothi Kahani Pe Roye – happened to be the shortest of the five songs from the film on the blog – it was just a couple of minutes and 40 seconds long.
It was, in fact, the shortest track in the film.
Shakeel Badayuni penned it.
