These (Bhos)legends did (R)afine job

By no means would it be incorrect to state that it was the combo of terrific tunes, hummable lyrics and recognisable voices that was the characteristic of most Hindi film songs in the Golden Era.

And it was this combo that made Deewana Mastana Hua Dil – the second track from Bombai Ka Babu on this blog – a compelling listen.

The (Bur)man who composed the song was the one and only S D.

It was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

Asha Bhosle shared singing credits with Mohammed Rafi. Needless to say, the pair did an outstanding job.
