It wouldn’t be
incorrect to state that Pyar Kiya To
Darna Kya – which inspired the title of the Salman Khan-starrer that
released in 1998 (and, as I found out on looking it up online, a 1963 namesake
starring Shammi Kapoor) – was an outstanding number.
It was the longest of the five songs from Mughal-E-Azam on this blog – it was half-a-dozen minutes and 21 seconds long.
In fact, it was the longest song on the film’s soundtrack.
Lata Mangeshkar, who rendered it, was accompanied by a chorus.
Shakeel Badayuni penned the track, which Naushad Ali composed.
