Lata rendered this mind-blowing track

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya – which inspired the title of the Salman Khan-starrer that released in 1998 (and, as I found out on looking it up online, a 1963 namesake starring Shammi Kapoor) – was an outstanding number.

It was the longest of the five songs from Mughal-E-Azam on this blog – it was half-a-dozen minutes and 21 seconds long.

In fact, it was the longest song on the film’s soundtrack.

Lata Mangeshkar, who rendered it, was accompanied by a chorus.

Shakeel Badayuni penned the track, which Naushad Ali composed.
