Sadly, Ranu
Mukherjee – whose father, Hemant Kumar, was a musical titan – was unable to
make it big as a singer, but she did have a hit to her credit.
The track in question was Nani Teri Morni Ko Mor Le Gaye.
It was the only song from Masoom (1960) on this blog.
And, unsurprisingly, it was her father who had a hand in it – in fact, it was his hand that held the composer’s baton.
There’s no two ways about the fact that the track, which was penned by none other than Shailendra, was cute.
