Mukesh rendered the better-known version

Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, which released in 1960, marked the debut of Dharmendra.

The soundtrack of the film featured a couple of versions of Mujhko Is Raat Ki Tanhai Mein.

This blog contains a post on just one of them – the male version, which was rendered by Mukesh.

It was arguably more popular than the female version, which was sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

They were composed by Shamim Jaipuri, and penned by Kalyanji-Anandji [who were assisted by Laxmikant and Pyarelal, who went on to debut as an independent composer duo with Parasmani (1963)].
