Interestingly,
the 14th Filmfare Awards were held in 1967, and films released in
1965 and 1966 were honoured.
This track
earned Lata Mangeshkar a nomination in the Best Playback Singer category (which
she deserved), but it was Mohammed Rafi who took the trophy home.
It was
penned by Shailendra.
Interestingly,
the S D Burman composition began with the antara, which went, “Kaanton se kheench ke yeh aanchal”.
