Shaheed (1965) was a film based on the life of
revolutionary Bhagat Singh, but there’s no two ways about the fact that this
post couldn’t have been written on a more appropriate day – today happens to be
the 122nd birth anniversary of Ram Prasad Bismil, who immortalised
the patriotic poem Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna (a song in the film, but not on
this blog).
