Rafi sang the (Bho)s(o)le duet

Not only was Saawan Aaye Ya Na Aaye the only duet on the soundtrack of Dil Diya Dard Liya, but it was the perfect track to welcome the rains, which have arrived, giving amchi Mumbai some much-needed respite from the heat.

The track, which was three minutes and 53 seconds long, was rendered by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle.

Interestingly, this song meant that she rendered three songs (including a couple of solos) in the film to Rafi’s four (which included three solos) and Lata Mangeshkar’s two solos.

Shakeel Badayuni penned the Naushad Ali composition.
