Undoubtedly, this solo was popuLa(ta)r

The female solo version of Rahen Na Rahen Hum – rendered by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar – wasn’t just the only song from Mamta (1966) on this blog, but it was also the longest song in the film – it was four minutes and 24 seconds long.

Incidentally, the other version of the track was rendered by Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. It happened to be the shortest song in the film – it was just a couple of minutes and 20 seconds long.

The song, which was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri, was composed by Roshanlal Nagrath.
