As I stated
in my previous post, Lata Mangeshkar bagged the Best Playback Singer Award at
the Filmfare Awards in 1966 for Tumhi Mere Mandir, the only song from Khandan
(1965) on this blog.
But she wasn’t the only member of the film’s music team to take the trophy home.
Ravi won the award in the Best Music Director category. It was the second time he bagged it, and by no means would it be incorrect to state that on both occasions, he was the least fancied contender.
Rajinder Krishan bagged the Best Lyricist Award.
