Decades before Angry
Birds, Hindi film music aficionados had the opportunity to listen to a song
about happy birds, including a mynah, a parrot (referred to in the song as mithu)
and a pigeon.
The track in question was O Meri Maina.
The only song from Pyaar Kiye Jaa (1966) on this blog, it was three minutes and 50 seconds long.
Surely, they must have had as much fun listening to the song as Manna Dey and Usha Mangeshkar would have had singing it.
The song was penned by Rajinder Krishan and composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
