This De(y)si twist became popular

In 1961, American rock 'n' roll singer Chubby Checker sang a song titled Let's Twist Again.

There’s no two ways about the fact that our very own Pancham Da, a.k.a. R D Burman, took that line literally, and composed Aao Twist Karen, which was an audio-visual treat.

It was the only song from Bhoot Bungla (1965) on this blog.

Hasrat Jaipuri penned the song, which was picturised on Mehmood (who also produced and directed the film).

It was rendered by the one and only Manna Dey.

Interestingly, Burman also made a cameo in the film.
