Its refRa(f)in was ABsolutely awesome

If the six songs from Teesri Manzil (1966) on this blog were arranged in the alphabetical order, Aaja Aaja Main Hoon Pyar Tera would be the first.
By no means would it be incorrect to state that the song’s refrain – A-ha aaja A-ha aaja – was its highlight.

The track, which Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi rendered, was half-a-dozen minutes and 41 seconds long, and not just worth every second of it, but also one that deserved to be played over and over again.

It was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri, and composed by R D Burman.
