If the
three tracks from Love In Tokyo (1966) were arranged in the alphabetical
order, Aa Ja Re Aa Zara would be the first.
(*Note: Incidentally, every track in the film was a solo.)
This
sensuous number – picturised on Joy Mukherjee, the film’s lead – was one of the
two songs from the film rendered by Mohammed Rafi on this blog.
He sang
another solo* in the film – O Meri Shah-E-Khuban. That song, which could
be translated to, “Dear ruler of my heart”, isn’t on this blog.
The
Shankar Jaikishan composition was penned by Hasrat Jaipuri.
