versions, but it would not be incorrect to state that it was one half of a pair
of songs composed by S D Burman.
No prizes for guessing that it was rendered by the one and only Mohammed Rafi, and is still the most popular break-up song (with due respect to composer Pritam Chakraborty).
Shailendra penned the track, whose best line went, “Chalo suhana bharam toh toota, jaana ke husn kya hai”.
