Chand Si Mehbooba Ho Meri was the longest of the three songs
from Himalay Ki God Mein (1965) on this blog – it was three minutes and
22 seconds long.
It wouldn’t be incorrect to call it the everyman’s song because every man could relate to the lyrics (credited to none other than Anand Bakshi). After all, is there anyone who has not dreamt of a ladylove who is like the moon?
The song, which was rendered by Mukesh Chand Mathur, earned Kalyanji-Anandji their first nomination in the Best Music Director category at the Filmfare Awards.
