Indeed, this track was Ma(ngeshka)rvellous

Raat Ka Sama Jhoome Chandrama – the only song from Ziddi (1964) on this blog – opened with a verse that went, “Aaya na koi aise yahan chham se na hoga, jo kaam kiya humne, woh Rustam se na hoga”.

It could be translated to, “No one came like this. The tinkling of the anklets won’t happen here. The job I’ve done, cannot be done by Rustam.”

The song was composed by the man who could be called the Rustom of music direction – S D Burman.

It was penned by Hasrat Jaipuri and rendered by Lata Mangeshkar.
