If the three Mohammed
Rafi solos from Guide were arranged in
the alphabetical order, Tere Mere Sapne
would be the last.
The song, which Shailendra penned, contained a line that every man still wants to sing to his partner. It went, “Tere dukh ab mere, mere such ab tere” (which means, “Your worries are now mine, and my joys are now yours”.)
It inspired the title of the 1971 film whose music was composed by S D Burman (who composed this track too).
Incidentally, Rafi didn’t sing any of the songs from Tere Mere Sapne.
