Rafi rendered this Janmashtami perennial

There’s no two ways about the fact that Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna, hasn't been celebrated with as much gusto on screen as it was in Bluff Master (1963).

The only song from the film on this blog was Govinda Aala Re.

It was shot in a lane in Khetwadi, a locality in Girgaum, Mumbai. That was, incidentally, where Manmohan Desai, the film’s director, grew up.

Shammi Kapoor danced (but not like no one was watching).

However, Rajinder Krishan's lyrics and Mohammed Rafi's rendition were the highlights of this evergreen number, which Kalyanji-Anandji composed.
